WOW stands for Walk on Wednesday and is an initiative that encourages pupils and teachers to walk to school on that day. It is a joint initiative that incorporates both the Green and Active Flags. WOW raises the profile of walking in a fun and enjoyable way and has many positive outcomes, including less traffic pollution, increased awareness of road safety and improves pupil's physical and mental health.
