Supporting Wellbeing through Mindfulness
This week marked the completion of a four-week mindfulness programme delivered by Ciara from Minding Me in partnership with LA519. Throughout the programme, all of our pupils had the opportunity to explore mindfulness techniques designed to support their emotional wellbeing, build self-confidence and encourage positive coping skills.
LA519 is a remarkable non-profit organisation founded by a mother and father in memory of their beloved son, who tragically passed away in 2019. Inspired by his memory, they work tirelessly to support young people by providing access to counselling and therapeutic services, while also raising awareness of the many sources of help and support available within local communities. Their mission is to ensure that no young person feels alone when facing life's challenges.
We are incredibly grateful to LA519 and Ciara for bringing this valuable programme to our school. The positive impact it has had on our pupils has been evident, helping them to recognise their own self-worth, develop resilience and take time to care for their mental and emotional health.
As a school community, we place great importance on nurturing the wellbeing of every child, and we were delighted to avail of this wonderful service. We look forward to continuing our partnership and hope to welcome the programme back in the new school year.
