On Tuesday, our pupils had a very special opportunity to share their ideas about how they would like their community to look in the future. We were delighted to welcome Siobhan Collins, Community Development Support Officer with Monaghan County Council, who is working alongside Connons Community Centre to create a new Community Plan for the area. Siobhan was keen to hear directly from the children, and our pupils were full of fantastic suggestions! They shared their hopes for exciting new facilities, including a playground with swings, slides and climbing frames, a trampoline, picnic benches, a running track and even new nets for the tennis courts.
It was wonderful to see the children thinking creatively and positively about their community. Their ideas and opinions are an important part of helping to shape plans for the future, and we hope that some of their brilliant suggestions will become a reality in the years ahead!
