Today, our pupils prepared pancakes as they celebrated Pancake Tuesday in preparation for Lent! 🥞🎉 After learning all about the origins of Shrove Tuesday, everyone rolled up their sleeves and got busy mixing eggs, flour, and milk to create the perfect pancake batter.
The highlight of the day? The pancake flip, of course! 🤩 There was plenty of excitement, laughter, and a few near-misses along the way — as you can see from our photos! As usual, pupils decorated their pancakes with a variety of delicious toppings, getting creative with their designs… although Nutella was the clear winner!
To finish off the celebration, pupils took part in a pancake race.... each trying to batter (better) themselves with their pancake flips while running! The overall winner was Aoibheann, who, after seven years of pancake practice, has truly perfected her skills and earned the title of St. Comgall’s N.S. Pancake Champion! 🥞🏆
