As part of our SESE curriculum, we spent Monday 23rd June touring the historical sites of Clones under the excellent guidance of Ann Curley of Cassandra Hand Centre. Following a calm and enjoyable walk along the canal, where pupils had the opportunity to appreciate the peaceful surroundings and observe the local environment, we headed to the Cassandra Hand Centre. There we learned about school in the olden days in the Cassandra Hand Centre, the history of the Round Tower, the grave of St. Tiernach and the boxing legend Barry McGuigan.
