Grandparent's/Parent's Day

23rd Jan 2026

We were absolutely delighted to host our annual Grandparents’/Parents’ Day today and to welcome so many wonderful grandparents, parents and family members who joined us in celebrating this very special occasion. A sincere thank you to Fr. McKenna, who so kindly led a beautiful prayer service, helping us to give thanks for the precious gift that parents and grandparents are in our lives.

Grandparents and parents were then presented with beautiful pictures and thoughtful poems, and there were plenty of hugs shared all around. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed spending time with their parents and grandparents afterwards, playing games together, making St. Brigid’s crosses and relaxing over a cup of tea and cake. An additional feature this year was our display of old artifacts which Grandparents and parents could reminisce about. Thank you everyone who took the time to show and talk about memories from their childhood.

The delicious cakes and buns were lovingly baked and decorated by the pupils especially for the day, adding to the joy of the celebration. We are deeply grateful to all the parents and grandparents who took the time to visit our school and celebrate alongside their children and grandchildren. Your presence made the day truly special.

We look forward to welcoming you all again next year.
