Wet Days

29th Nov 2019

Research has shown that outdoor play is an essential element in helping children to become healthier individuals and better learners. Playing outside does not only increase children’s fitness levels but also helps children to develop social skills and increases their ability to use their imagination. Most importantly a break in the fresh air helps children to become better learners as they are able to concentrate more in class and become more focused learners. In as far as possible children are encouraged to spend time outdoors even if there is light rain.

However sometimes the weather elements are difficult to overcome and children need to become physically active in the classroom.

Therefore on very wet days, children are encouraged to participate in classroom based physical activities such as dance and games.
