And finally on Friday our ASW culminated with our annual Sport’s Day. It was an inclusive day of fun for the whole school. Health and fitness were promoted in an environment of positive participation in multiple activities, which included competitive and non-competitive games such as 50m / 100m races, relay races, long jump, hurdles, egg-and-spoon, three-legged race.
The day’s activities had been planned well in advance of ASW. Therefore, teachers were already incorporating them into PE lessons. Consequently, those pupils who were less confident with sport didn’t feel at all daunted on the day.
