Active School Week

25th Jun 2021

As we continue to work towards our Active School Flag, we thoroughly enjoyed an Active Week packed with various activities and challenges.

On Monday we visited The Peace Link Centre in Clones where we participated in varied games and activities under the supervision of our former pupil Ms Katie O'Connor. Many goals were scored....and missed!

On Tuesday we travelled to Navan Centre and Fort where we learned about the Celts. We had the pleasure of meeting King Dáire who enthralled us with stories from long ago. I'm not sure how many of us would have survived as warriors!

Our Sports Day took place on Wednesday which is always a memorable end of year activity. Congratulations to all pupils for their enthusiastic participation where many races where won and lost but all in good humour.

On Thursday we danced our hearts out with the fabulous Elaine Keogh who taught us many different routines that we can continue to practise during the holidays! A special word of thanks to the Parent's Association who provided well deserved refreshments in the form of ice cream on Thursday afternoon. The children truly enjoyed this afternoon treat.

And finally on Friday we welcomed Euan Trainor, our soccer coach who helped us practise our skills in dribbling, passing and shooting.
